The Sd.Kfz. 7 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 7) was a half-track vehicle of the German Wehrmacht during World War II, which served mainly as a tractor for heavy artillery such as the 8.8 cm Flak or the 15 cm heavy field howitzer. Produced between 1934 and 1945, it was characterized by its versatility and robustness. Powered by a 6-cylinder Maybach engine producing around 140 hp, the vehicle reached a top speed of around 50 km/h on the road. The combination of wheels on the front axle and a chain drive at the rear gave it excellent off-road capabilities. In addition to its main role as an artillery tractor, it was often used as a transport vehicle or mobile platform for anti-aircraft guns. Its load capacity of 8 tons and its reliability made it a central part of the Wehrmacht's motorized troops and a technical milestone in military vehicle construction.
