The Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausführung F2 was an improved version of the Pz.Kpfw. IV, which entered service with the Wehrmacht in 1942. It was equipped with the powerful 7.5 cm KwK 40 L/43 cannon, which had significantly greater penetration than the previous short cannon. This made it a dangerous opponent for Allied tanks such as the Soviet T-34. The armor was reinforced compared to the F1 version, but remained vulnerable to more powerful enemy weapons. The Pz.Kpfw. IV F2 formed the basis for later, even better armed and armored versions of the Pz.Kpfw. IV. This model is inspired by Panzer.Bricklabs_1944 Panzer 4 and was designed with its approval.
