The SU-122 was a Soviet self-propelled gun that was deployed from late 1942 to support tank and infantry units. Based on the chassis of the T-34, the vehicle combined the mobility of the well-known tank with the firepower of a 122 mm M-30 howitzer. This combination made the SU-122 particularly effective against fortified positions and for close support in urban or heavily barricaded terrain. The interior was cramped but offered enough space for the five-man crew and the bulky ammunition. Powered by its V-2 diesel engine, the SU-122 reached a speed of around 50 km/h and could easily keep up with the fast-moving T-34 formations. Although its armor was slightly weaker than that of the base tank, the vehicle was considered reliable and effective. The SU-122 played an important role in the battles of 1943 and contributed significantly to fire support during the Soviet counteroffensives on the Eastern Front.

The package includes all individual parts needed to build the SU-122. The building instructions are provided in printed form. The level of detail can be adapted by choosing the “Premium” or “Standard” version. The Premium version includes printed parts, while the Standard version includes the same parts but unprinted. The build of both models is identical.
